$90.00 Myofascial massage is a technique used to treat clients recovering from injuries and general discomfort. It is often used in reducing pain and towards an increased range of motion. Myofascial massage differs from other types of massage in that it targets the fascia - the membrane surrounding muscles - rather than the muscle itself. Since fascia encases every muscle in the body, imbalances in the fascia can have serious effects on your range of motion and comfort level. Additional work to address muscles, as well as the target in this session, is the area of fascial restriction. Myofascial techniques will specifically seek to release tension in this connective tissue.
$90 - Trigger Point Therapy is a bodywork modality that focuses on stimulating and releasing “trigger points” in your body. Trigger points are tender areas of tension similar to acupressure points, except they occur in the belly of the muscle tissue rather than along the energy pathways of the body. Trigger points generally involve signs and symptoms such as jump sign and referral sensation. These ‘knots’ are built up through physical, mental, and/or emotional stress. During a session, focused pressure is applied through a variety of techniques order to release your trigger points. Communication between therapist and client help to relieve and minimize pain/discomfort in the session. This process, though uncomfortable at times, yields lasting effects and can be profoundly transformative. Homework for the client to do between session may be given to sustain the benefit of the therapy. Three sessions are recommended to resolve more complex and/or long term conditions. While Trigger Point work will be the focas of the session one can expect general warming, stretching and mobilization as part of the session.
FYI: Please let us know if you are interested in a longer session so that we can plan accordingly. Added time is billed at a rate of $1/minute and is added in fifteen-minute increments (ie., 75 min; 90 min; or more).
Chair Massage is a popular way of relieving stress and releasing tension as part of a group special event, workplace or special event. One may receive the massage in a specialized ergonomic chair which we bring to your location. In addition to the easy set up for events, chair massage clients are fully clothed. Also, chair massage sessions are usually shorter in 10 - 20 minutes per person, making easy access and rotation at your event. Pricing is suited to the specifications of your event and must take into account several variables. So that we can best suit your specific needs we can discuss the details and you will have our services fit your event plan. There is a suggested three-hour minimum.
The benefits of massage in the corporate settings have become increasingly popular. Bodywork reduces absenteeism, increases productivity and creates both incentive and reward for employees. Corporate massage is proven to increase morale and productivity.
Employees receive a massage in a specialized ergonomic chair or professional massage table which is brought by the therapist to your location. The massage is done over the clothing so that one can enjoy a brief session that can relieve areas of discomfort expediently without the need to disrobe. This is convenient and easy to manage with a busy work schedule.
Because there are a number of considerations in designing your Corporate or Massage Event, it is required that a meeting and possibly a site visit actually happen. There we can establish actual costs based on your event specifications. Here is a brief list of items for event planners to consider:
- goal and/or objectives (Appreciation, Celebration, morale, reduce stress/tension)
- number of KMB therapists to work
- number of clients to be served
- number of hours and/or recurring engagement (annually/bi-annual, monthly/bi-monthly)
- designating a suitable physical space for the sessions to take place
- travel and accessibility for loading equipment in/out
